Leicas of London
The Leica Society International (LSI) Spring Shoot conference took place in London this week.
The presentations, panels and talks have been impressive and inspirational. Meeting lots of members of the Leica family, including people I have only known for years only online, has been fantastic.
It was my first ever LSI event and I wanted to say hello to as many attendees as possible. As an icebreaker, I decided to take photographs of some of the many Leicas that people had with them. The variety of cameras (and rarity of some) was a sight to behold for anyone interested in photography, and heaven for Leica-lovers. There were many M bodies as you might expect, with some very exotic versions and lenses on show. A few SLs, a very nice CL, and a flurry of Qs. There was also an X-U which I’ve never seen in the flesh. It’s a good job I spent all my money on my recent Vietnam holiday otherwise I’d have been over at Leica Mayfair looking to add a Q3 43 to my bag.
Here is a selection for of pictures for you. Thanks to everyone who was happy to let me photograph their pride and joy. I'm sure you'll let me know if I have misidentified any of them. Enjoy…
